During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, 200.28 billion yuan is planned to be invested in the province's energy projects, including 94.67 billion yuan invested in new energy projects. This year, the province will focus on promoting the construction of 148 energy projects, with a planned investment of 36.485 billion yuan. Jing Junhai and Hu Yuting learned about the construction status of key energy projects and inspected the construction progress of Jilin Electric Power Energy Valley's lead-carbon battery production & waste lead battery utilization project listed in the national three-year plan for revitalizing Northeast China with an investment of 10 billion yuan. Jing noted that accelerating the construction of key energy projects is an important measure for the province to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions during his visits, to steadily promote the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality strategy, and to resolutely shoulder the important task of ensuring national energy security. He said that Party committees, governments and relevant departments at all levels should fully implement Xi's important speech on energy revolution, act on the "one pillar, six doubles" high-quality development strategy, vigorously promote the construction of major projects such as "Land Three Gorges" and "Pumped-storage Three Gorges" projects, carry out the "Hydrogen Energy Promotes Jilin" action at a deeper level, plan to build green power industrial parks, attract investment in the industrial chain, introduce more new energy projects, further enhance the capability of green power transmission and local consumption, strive to build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient new energy system, turn energy advantages into industrial advantages, competitive advantages and development advantages, and add new impetus to the comprehensive revitalization of Jilin

Hu Yuting stressed the necessity to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on energy revolution, promote the integrated and coordinated development of source, network, load and storage of the energy industry in accordance with the plans of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, and cultivate new engines for Jilin's economic development. Speed up the construction of "Land Three Gorges" and "Pumped-storage Three Gorges" projects, and expand the scale of new energy development. Launch the "Large Power Grid" project, coordinate the construction of a "four horizontal and four vertical" backbone grid structure, and spare no effort to build a strong power grid. Promote the operation of green power parks, attract high-capacity and high-quality load projects, and enhance consumption capacity. Carry out the "Hydrogen Energy Promotes Jilin" action, and accelerate the implementation of a number new energy storage projects including the Da'an green hydrogen and ammonia production demonstration project. Hu said that all localities and government departments should uphold the principle of "one project, one special work force", ensure the provision of factors including project approval, funding and land, and promote the early completion and operation of projects.
